One Lone Fetching

I got it!!! I figured out the thumb! Here is the finished one... Note, I really messed up the picot edging, and I am alright with that. This was a real learning experience for me. First thumb. First time knitting in the round on dpns. First picot edging. Now, I just have to start the second one.... hehehehe.....

  • They turned out really good. I really love that color. Glad you worked out the thumb problem.

  • Thanks Dawn. I was really overthinking the whole thumb thing. For some reason I was getting really hung up on "attach yarn." When I told a friend she looked at me like I had grown an extra eye ball in the middle of my head. Then explained why... Whoa, I actually felt myself blushing...

  • this was a project of firsts for you and you did swimmingly. :) soon you'll be able to claim your first pair of fetching. :)

  • I think these gloves work great - that Picot binding isn't the best fit for these gloves anyway - I like the ones that have been posted with the simple bind off. The yarn choice is cool - those colors mix it up a bit!

  • Nice colour variation indeed. These look very soft and comfortable. It was my first picot edging as well, and I still don't know if I got it right...

  • They look great. Now can you tell me how you figured out the thumb?

What I'm trying to figure out is whether or not you knit the cables above the seven thumb stitches or not.
